Winter Sun
Long dark night
Broken by the call of day
The last star
Fades into the light
Of the winter sun
Embers of the dying fire
Dance in the ashes
As the smoke rises
Mingling into the light
Of the winter sun
Twilight Wonder
As the sunset beckons night
So the moon,
Brings forth delight
A crystal shimmer of diamond dust
This twilight wonder
Melting gold into rust
A moment captured as if time had slowed
An instant eternal
On an endless road
Stars dance through moonbeams
And in the distance between
A whisper and dream
The Day
The morning started
Like no others
With a sigh from
From the rising sun
Then noon crashed in
On a wave of cloud
Carried north
From southern skies
As evening closed
She entrenched herself
Between trees and leaves
And open fires
When we awoke
The summer rain
Had washed the stars
From the dawn above us
Poetry
These poems are very thought provoking and paint great images of nature through their words. I would reccomend this book to everyone.
For the Love of Nature
This collection of poetry takes the reader in to the imaginary world of Mother Nature's beauty and awe giving the mind the view, the eyes long to see. Each poem is a small scene created in the mind of the poet, crafted to the page and delivered with enthusiasm to the imagination of the beholder for them to paint their own picture as the digest the words of the poems. My personal favourites are Winter's Sweet Kiss, Bird of Prey and Morning Frost. If your looking for an easy, thought provoking read and love nature, this is a book of poetry you need to take a good close look at.
